Hi, and thank you for visiting my website. My personal story of becoming a mom to a preemie, along with having my baby in the NICU, led me to work with women and moms to help them get through challenging times.
In my opinion, there is an absence of a strong support network surrounding the life changing event of having a baby. I hope to change that by working closely with my clients to provide them with the opportunity to share their real, everyday struggles with motherhood without feeling judged.
I am a nationally certified counselor and licensed professional counselor. I have extensive training in evidenced based practices, such as Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). For the past 15 years I have worked with women, children and families in various settings, including schools and private practice.
My maternal mental health training is via Postpartum Support International, and I completed my Post Graduate training via the Postpartum Stress Center in the area of Perinatal Mental Health. I am also a patient advocate, and collaborate with local OB/GYNs, Midwives and Pediatricians to provide training on recognizing the signs and symptoms of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.
