As a fellow mom, I understand firsthand how important it is to have extra support during pregnancy, postpartum and well into motherhood. It can be a challenging time, and it is often hard to ask for help. My personal experiences and professional training has led me to work with women and moms and provide them with the support necessary to get through difficult times.
My approach to therapy prioritizes relieving any distressing emotional symptoms while building on my client’s strengths. I am passionate about providing empathetic, supportive, and collaborative therapy. I provide my clients the opportunity to share their genuine fears and everyday struggles without feeling judged.
I am a nationally certified counselor and licensed professional counselor. I have extensive training in evidenced based practices, such as Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. For the past 15 years I have worked with women, children and families in various settings, including schools and private practice.
My Perinatal Mental health training certificate is through Postpartum Support International, along with my certificate in Post Graduate training in Postpartum Depression from the Postpartum Stress Center. I am also a patient advocate, and collaborate with local OB/GYNs, Hospitals and Pediatricians to provide trainings on recognizing the signs and symptoms of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.
